Salisbury Sunrise Rotary Club
The third Rotary Club in Salisbury was formed in 1994 as an addition to the lunch Club (Wicomico Rotary Club) and the dinner Club (Salisbury Rotary Club). The Sunrise Club currently has 35 members made up of a wide variety of business persons from Salisbury and the surrounding area. The three Salisbury Clubs work together on many projects – Backpack Giveaway, Ben’s Red Swings, Group Study Exchange, and several other annual and one-time events.
Additionally, the Sunrise Club focuses on the local community and the world at large. Some projects are supported every year, others are one time events. Selected projects include:
- Literacy and education – Rotary Raises Readers, 3rd Grade Dictionary Project, and local Scholarships
- Health and Hunger – Maryland Food Bank, Christian Shelter Food Giveaway
- International affairs – Rotary Foundation, Group Study Exchange, and Shelter Boxes.
